Seoul City and China’s Shanghai have agreed to cooperate to support the fashion industry and city marketing efforts.

Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon held a meeting with Shanghai Mayor Han Zheng on Thursday to discuss joint promotion of the "Shanghai Expo 2010" and the "World Design Capital" city promotion project in Seoul.

In the meeting, Oh proposed close bilateral cooperation to attract global attention to Asia and the major events each city has to offer.

The two mayors also agreed to enhance cooperation in the fashion industry by holding a “Seoul Fashion Week” in Shanghai and a “Shanghai Fashion Week” in Seoul.
