Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon has met with China's Vice Premier Li Keqiang in Beijing.

During Monday's meeting, the mayor stressed the importance of expanding exchange between the city of Seoul and China’s east coast cities.

Li said he will support the smooth implementation of agreements made between Seoul and Chinese cities.

The meeting was made at the request of Oh. The Seoul city government said Oh was the first Seoul mayor to meet with a top Chinese official.

During his weeklong visit from last Wednesday, Oh visited Shanghai, Zhejiang, Tianjin and Beijing to help attract Chinese investment and strengthen tourism marketing for Seoul.
