South Korea's Hyundai Motor has taken the largest market share in Turkey.

The Turkish daily Sabah reported that Hyundai Motor accounted for almost 15 percent of the Turkish auto market and ranked first in terms of market share in the first quarter of this year. The automaker ranked sixth last year.

The report also noted that Hyundai sold more than 100-thousand cars in the first quarter, up 57 percent year-on-year.
