'US Has No Intent to Threaten N.Korea'

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says the U.S. poses no threat to North Korea.

Clinton made the remark last week in an interview with CNN during a trip to Africa.

Clinton said Washington is, however, concerned about Pyongyang's acts that threaten the U.S. and its allies. She said the U.S. remains critical of the North’s attempts to export nuclear technology and build up its nuclear capacity.

The secretary of state stressed efforts for the full and verifiable denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, but added that the U.S. wants to take steps to move forward with a normalization of ties with North Korea.
