Obama: Americans Support FTA with S.Korea

U.S. President Barack Obama says all Americans, regardless of their political inclinations, support the South Korea-U.S. free trade agreement.

Obama made the statement on Thursday during a meeting with the president's export advisory council.

He said the trade pact means more choices for South Korea and more jobs for the U.S.

Obama added that the trade deal is an agreement supported by members of Congress on both sides of the aisle, and Americans on all sides of the political spectrum --- from the United Auto Workers union to the Chamber of Commerce.

He then said he looks forward to working with Congress and leaders in both parties to approve the trade pact because if there’s one thing they should all agree on, it’s creating jobs and opportunity for the American people.
