Former U.S. nuclear envoy Christopher Hill says that North Korea's recent disclosure of its uranium enrichment facility is proof that the North lied to the nations involved in the six-way denuclearization talks.

According to Voice of America, Hill said that Pyongyang's disclosure of the facility to Stanford University Professor Siegfried Hecker during Hecker’s visit there last month is no different than having made a nuclear declaration.

Hill noted that North Korea had previously denied any plans to pursue uranium enrichment.

The North disclosed its nuclear facilities for the first time in June 2008 in a 60-page report. But the report did not include information about a uranium enrichment facility.
