The government will take part in an international conference to provide support to Afghanistan next Monday.

The Foreign Ministry said South Asia and Pacific bureau chief Park Hae-yun will attend the International Contact Group (ICG) meeting to be held in Kabul, Afghanistan. The event will discuss reconstruction, stabilization and long-term cooperation to the central Asian nation.

Park will also visit the South Korean provincial reconstruction team (PRT) base in Afghanistan to monitor safety measures. The South Korean PRT base has been attached by rockets ten times this year.
