White House Sends Senate Nomination of Sung Kim

The White House sent the nomination of Sung Kim as the U.S. ambassador to South Korea to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Monday (local time).

Kim is likely to assume his new post around August once his nomination is confirmed in the Senate.

Kim currently serves as the U.S. special envoy to the six-party nuclear talks. He was confirmed to that position in September 2008.
