The Washington Post took notice of Pyeongchang’s winning bid to host the 2018 Winter Olympics by posting a photo of the South Korean delegation in celebration on the front of its Thursday edition.

In the photo’s cutline, the U.S. newspaper wrote in detail about President Lee Myung-bak, South Korea’s Winter Olympic bid committee Chairman Cho Yang-ho, Korea Olympic Committee Chairman Park Yong-sung and Olympic figure skating champion Kim Yu-na.

The WP also published a related story in its sports section, providing graphic photo’s of the Korean Peninsula and Pyeongchang to illustrate the location of the 2018 Winter Games.
