Chinese State Council Official Visits NK

The vice premier of China's State Council arrived in Pyongyang Sunday morning leading a goodwill delegation.

Zhang Dejiang met with North Korean Premier Choe Yong-rim at a Pyongyang hotel and vowed to expand cooperation on all fronts with the North and enhance bilateral relations.

The Chinese envoy noted the two countries' close cooperation in regional and global affairs and the frequent high-level mutual visits witnessed in recent years.

Zhang said economic development and improving the public’s living standard is a shared task for both nations. He also promised that China will expand trade and investment with Pyongyang.

The North Korean official thanked China's support for the North's social and economic development and stressed the two sides should continue cooperation in all areas.
