British fans of Korean pop music are calling for their favorite artists to hold concerts in Britain, known as the birthplace of pop.

Some two-hundred British K-pop fans gathered in Trafalgar Square and marched across London, demanding that the Korean singers perform in the U.K.

Recognizing the soaring popularity of K-pop, organizers of the Mayor’s Thames Festival 2011 have promised to invite Korean singers to the event.

K-pop is expected to become one of the best cultural products that will promote South Korea as a developing and dynamic country in the 2012 London Olympic Games.
