Global Leaders Discuss Libya's Future in Paris

Leaders from some 60 countries convened in Paris Thursday to discuss the future of Libya.

The participating global leaders discussed political and financial ways to support Libya’s Transitional National Council’s plan to reconstruct the nation and unfreeze Libya’s overseas assets.

U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon stressed that the U.N. needs to lead efforts in rebuilding Libya.

Meanwhile, the European Union lifted sanctions against 28 Libyan entities, including banks and ports.

South Korea, on its part, declared its intent to actively support Libya with its social overhead capital projects.
