Committee Seeks to Set up Korean War Museum in NY

Efforts are being made to establish a national museum in New York City that will inform visitors of the historical significance of the Korean War.

A diplomatic source said Tuesday that the committee seeking to establish the museum is currently trying to win support from Congress and the U.S. business circle. One of its aims is to build the museum in memory of those who lost their lives during the war.

The committee, which is based in Chicago, concluded that New York would be most appropriate to pay homage to the Korean War given that the city is the most dynamic place in the world and most-visited by people around the world.
