Former U.S. Special Representative for North Korea Policy Stephen Bosworth has raised the possibility that North Korea will seek to conduct a third nuclear test.

In an interview with Japan’s Kyodo News on Thursday, Bosworth said the possibility of the North carrying out long-range missile tests and nuclear tests cannot be ruled out.

Bosworth expressed concerns that more dangerous actions on the part of the North could occur if no one seeks to hold dialogue with Pyongyang. He stressed that in order to prevent North Korea from engaging in provocation, it is necessary to hold dialogue with the communist state.
