S.Korea, US to Hold Talks on Africa Policy in Seoul

The Foreign Ministry says South Korea and the U.S. plan to hold the first of their high-level talks on Africa policy in Seoul on Monday.

Participants are planning to exchange opinions on South Korean and the U.S. Africa policy, the current situation and outlook for key African nations including Libya and Sudan, as well as ensuring the safety of their citizens in Africa.

The ministry said that it is bolstering diplomatic efforts for a win-win partnership with Africa, which is considered a new growth driver of the 21st century. The ministry said it plans annual policy discussions with the U.S. to share its experiences with Africa.
