A K-pop contest has been held in Moscow, Russia providing both the contestants and the audience with an opportunity to learn about Korea.

The audience cheered for the contestants while singing along with the South Korean songs.

The team that won will now advance to the final round of the contest in South Korea next month. A total of 96 teams from the Commonwealth of Independent States including Russia auditioned for the competition in Moscow.

Contest judge Anita Tsoy, a Russian singer of Korean descent, highly praised the pop music.

It appears the powerful and dynamic rhythm of the Korean songs is attracting more Russian young people.
