Following the explosive popularity of South Korean celebrities in Thailand, the latest South Korean mega-hit being exported to the southeast Asian country is educational comic books for children.

Thailand’s largest children’s book company “Nanmee Books” has published Thai translations of 400 South Korean educational comic books.

With about eight million copies sold in the nation, the Korean comic books have surpassed the sales recorded by the “Harry Potter” series sold in Thailand.

Most Thai children say that the educational comic books from South Korea are their favorites.

Meanwhile, school libraries in Thailand are packed with the educational comic books as they consider them to be must-read items for their students.
