Education Minister to Visit China

Education, Science and Technology Minister Lee Ju-ho plans to visit Beijing, China from Wednesday to Friday.

Lee plans to hold a bilateral meeting with his Chinese counterpart and discuss ways for cooperation between the two nations.

A joint ministerial committee for science and technology will be held in collaboration with the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology on Wednesday. The two sides will discuss ways for bilateral human exchange and plans to establish a joint research center.

On the second day of his visit, Lee will meet with the Chinese Minister of Education. He plans to sign an agreement for an exchange of teachers. They will also discuss designating an exchange program for university students from South Korea, China and Japan as well as a joint research initiative. As for his final day in China, Lee plans to visit a Korean international school in Beijing.
