Hyundai, Kia Sales Slow down in US

Hyundai Motor and its sister company Kia Motors have seen a slowdown in sales in the U.S.

Hyundai sold 62-thousand cars in the U.S. last month, while Kia's sales are estimated at 47-thousand. Both totals mark a mere one-percent increase year-on-year and a ten-percent drop from March for the Korean automakers.

Meanwhile, Toyota's sales in the U.S. jumped 12 percent year-on-year in April, signaling the Japanese company is rapidly restoring its market share following the massive earthquake that struck the eastern part of the nation in March 2011.
