California Farm to Remain Off Limits to S. Korean Beef Inspection Team

The South Korean team inspecting a case of mad cow disease in the U.S. is unlikely to be granted access to the farm where the infected cow was discovered.

Joo Yi-seok, the head of the team comprising government and civilian experts, said they met with the owner of the farm but in a separate location.

The team has been pushing for a visit to the farm, but the owner has repeatedly denied requests.

The delegation is expected to return to South Korea after visiting more sites to learn about the structure of the U.S. meat processing industry.
