Chinese security forces are cracking down on foreigners working illegally in China and those overstaying their visas.

A Chinese newspaper reported that authorities launched a 100-day campaign on Tuesday to root out illegal foreigners in Beijing. The campaign will end in late August.

The security forces target neighborhoods congested with foreign residents, including the three major residential areas for South Korean people and students.

Some 80-thousand South Korean expatriots are estimated to be living in the Chinese capital.
