Report: S.Korea Extends Efforts to Spread Dokdo Awareness

Efforts by South Korea to spread awareness over its ownership of Dokdo by publicizing the area as a brand image was reported by the Christian Science Monitor of the U.S.

The American daily reported South Korea had decided to issue a Napa Valley wine named with the postal number for Dokdo.

The report said South Korean singer Kim Jang-hoon also issued a video commercial for the cause, and a large scale advertisement was featured in Times Square in New York in March.

Also, the report told of a laundry service run by Koreans in the United States that uses plastic bags printed with the words, “Dokdo is South Korean Territory” to spread awareness of the issue.
