IMF: No Plans to Provide Spain Financial Assistance

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) says it is not holding talks with Spain about possible financial assistance.

IMF spokesman Gerry Rice said that the IMF is not drawing up plans on financial assistance for Spain nor has Spain requested any financial support.

Rice's remarks come as rumors spread that Spain will ask the IMF and the EU for bailout funds in a silmilar way Greece did.
