Gemba: Japan Didn't Propose Solutions on Sex Slaves Issue

Japan’s Foreign Minister Koichiro Gemba has denied media reports that Japan made offers to resolve the issue of Korean girls and women who were forced to serve Japanese soldiers as sex slaves during World War Two.

In a news conference on Friday, Gemba dismissed South Korean media reports that Tokyo proposed to Seoul three ways to resolve the issue.

Gemba told the news conference that it is possible to propose various ideas to resolve the issue, but Tokyo has not made any specific proposals.
