NYT Report on the Yeosu Expo

The Yeosu World Expo has made it on the pages of The New York Times as the event has drawn millions of visitors.

The New York Times July tenth printed edition carried a report on its travel pages, titled, “In South Korea, All Roads Lead to Yeosu,” including a picture of the area.

The report said Yeosu’s destiny had been changed with the successful hosting of the exposition, considering it had been a relatively unknown city despite its ocean views and good food.

It continued by noting that the city now has 22 new modern buildings, and basic infrastructure including roads, had all been improved – not to mention the facilities that are said to be able to hold 10 million visitors during the expo season.

The report cited the multi-water screens, the Big-O show, South Korea’s largest aquarium and the MVL Hotel reminiscent of the Burj Al Arab to be the highlights of the expo.
