Identities of 4 Peruvian Chopper Crash Victims Confirmed

The identities of four people killed in a helicopter crash in Peru last week have been confirmed.

The South Korean Embassy in Lima said that of the 14 bodies recovered Monday, the identities of one South Korean and three foreigners were confirmed through their passports and personal belongings.

Peruvian authorities said that all the dead will be moved to the southeastern city of Cusco by midnight Monday before others are identified and funeral procedures are discussed.

Officials are considering DNA testing in the event other methods of identification prove difficult.

The families of the victims will arrive in Peru by Tuesday.

The South Korean Embassy is discussing with the families of South Korean victims about bringing their bodies home via the Peruvian capital of Lima after identification is complete.
