Three people are dead and a fourth is fighting for his life after a shooting at an off-campus apartment complex near Auburn University in Alabama on Sunday.

Local news outlets report that two former players on Auburn University’s football team were killed as well as another man. Media say one man is clinging to life in a Birmingham, Alabama hospital and a former player and another man were treated and released.

Established in 1856, Auburn University is famous for its football program which won the BCS National Championship in 2010. Current Apple CEO Tim Cook is also an Auburn alumnus.
