China's Probe on Four S.Koreans Almost Completed

China is almost finished with a probe it is conducting on four South Korean human rights activists who were held since March.

The South Korean Embassy in China said on Monday that Beijing has recently notified it that the investigation is wrapping up.

China, however, has not elaborated on what will happen after the probe is completed.

Meanwhile, Kim Young-hwan and the three other South Koreans being detained in China will reportedly be allowed to have an interview with a consul from the Korean Consulate General in Shenyang this week.

The four activists championing North Korean human rights were arrested by the Chinese police on March 29th while having a meeting on North Korean escapees in Dalian, Liaoning Province.
