Reuters reports that Brazil has completed only half of its projects to build stadiums and infrastructures such as airports for the 2014 World Cup.

The news outlet said with only two years left until the international sporting event, Brazil has failed to build the necessary facilities on schedule due to a lack of funding.

Brazilian authorities said that the construction of World Cup facilities has been somewhat delayed. But it pledged to make intense investments over the remaining years and host the World Cup on schedule.
