100 Killed in Clash between Syrian Gov’t and Antigov’t Rebels

A bloody clash between antigovernment rebels and government forces left more than 100 people dead in Syria on Monday alone.

Syrian antigovernment organizations said that government forces mobilized heavily armed helicopters and tanks to crack down on antigovernment protesters.

Most of the deaths were reported in the strongholds of antigovernment rebels, like Homs and Deir Ezzor.

Nearly 14-thousand people have been killed in violent clashes between rebels and government forces in Syria since antigovernment protests began in March last year.
