All S. Koreans Killed in Peru Chopper Crash Identified

All eight South Koreans killed in a helicopter crash in Peru last week have been identified.

An official at the South Korean Embassy in Peru says the victims were matched with their dental records and family members have also confirmed their identities.

The embassy says once the ID process is completed, the bodies will be examined according to Peruvian law. Autopsies are expected to take place Thursday and Friday Korean time.

Following the autopsies, the remains will be transferred to the Peruvian capital of Lima and could arrive in Korea as early as this weekend.
