The bodies of eight South Koreans killed in a helicopter crash in Peru last week are likely to be transported to South Korea this weekend.

Companies where the victims worked said Wednesday that negotiations are under way with Korean Air and Asiana Airlines to move the bodies on a chartered plane. The companies said they expect the bodies to enter the country from Lima around Saturday or Sunday.

The South Korean Embassy in Peru plans to send the bodies to Lima after local authorities complete autopsies and begin preparations to send them home.
