Apple Fails to Ban Sales of Galaxy S3 in U.S.

Apple’s attempt to block sales of the Samsung Galaxy S3 in the United States has fallen through due to litigation schedules.

Apple had originally asked the Northern District Court of California to ban sales of Samsung’s new smartphones in the U.S., but California district Judge Lucy Koh ruled against the ban saying it would delay the current patent trial schedule.

Therefore, sales of the Galaxy S3 will be carried out as scheduled in the U.S. market from the 21st.

Apple previously filed a lawsuit against Samsung, asking for a sales ban of the Galaxy S3 in the U.S., arguing that the new Samsung phone infringed on at least two of its patents.
