G20 Summit to Open in Mexico on Monday

Members of the Group of 20 major and emerging world economies will convene for the biannual G20 Summit on Monday afternoon, local time, in Los Cabos, Mexico.

The two-day summit will focus on ways to tackle the euro zone financial crisis, boosting the recovery and growth of the global economy, and strengthening existing financial systems. This is the first-ever G20 summit to be held in Mexico.

The agenda for the meeting also includes issues related to food security, green growth and development.

The summit will officially open at 3 p.m. Monday, local time, and will close Tuesday afternoon after a Los Cabos declaration is announced.
