Global Stock Prices See Fluctuations

Despite the victory of a pro-austerity party in Sunday's Greek elections, global stock prices saw fluctuations on Monday amid lingering concerns over Spain’s financial conditions.

On Monday, Spain's benchmark ten-year bond yield surged to a record seven-point-two percent; the yield on its 30-year bonds also jumped to a record level.

Meanwhile, stock markets around the world reacted sensitively to Spain’s figures. U.S. stock prices, which posted growth before closing last week, fell slightly on Monday.

Stock prices in Britain and Germany rose slightly, while prices in the Spanish and Italian financial markets took a fall.
