Bloody Clashes in Syria Claim 119 More Lives

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights estimates that 119 people died on Thursday alone due to the Syrian government’s bloody crackdown on anti-government protesters.

The London-based agency said that around 60 civilians and some 40 government forces were among the dead.

The head of the agency, Rami Abdul Rahman, said Thursday’s death toll was the largest to be recorded since the crackdown on protesters first began in March of last year.

The agency said that more than 15-thousand people have been killed so far due to the Syrian government’s clampdown.
