A U.S. district court judge has granted Apple a preliminary injunction against the sale of Samsung's Galaxy Nexus in the U.S.

Judge Lucy Koh of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California ruled in favor of a request made by Apple for the ban of the smartphone.

Apple filed for the injunction in February, claiming Samsung had infringed on four of its patents.

Meanwhile, Samsung has appealed the courts decision on Tuesday to ban the sale of its Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the U.S.
