New World Bank Head Stresses Support for Developing Countries

New World Bank President Jim Yong Kim has placed top priority on continued support for developing countries on his first day in office.

Kim said in an email to the World Bank staff on Sunday, local time, that the foremost task of the World Bank is to strengthen support for developing countries that are working to spur economic growth and protect jobs.

He added that the World Bank is also ready to help other countries that are promoting mid-term growth policies.
