US Judge Dismisses Samsung’s Request for Stay of Sales Injunction

A U.S. judge has dismissed Samsung Electronics’ request for a stay against a preliminary injunction banning the sale of its Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet PC in the U.S.

Judge Lucy Koh at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California dismissed Samsung’s request, explaining the damage against Samsung may only be trivial compared to irreparable losses its alleged patent infringement may bring upon U.S.-based Apple.

Samsung also asked the U.S. court for a temporary stay on another preliminary injunction against the sale of its Galaxy Nexus phone in the U.S., which was granted to Apple last Friday.
