Two South Korean women have been released from prison in Cambodia after a local court acquitted them of murder charges.

South Korea’s Embassy in Cambodia said Monday that the Phnom Penh district court found the two women in their 30s not guilty of the death of a Korean man last June.

The court said there was no substantial proof that the women killed the man or that he was even murdered.

Both women were jailed last June after the 40-something year old Korean man they lived with was found dead in their apartment in the Cambodian capital.
