Samsung Wants U.S. Sales Ban Dropped for Galaxy Tab 10.1

Samsung has asked a U.S. court to withdraw a previously imposed sales ban on its Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet computer since a U.S. jury concluded that it doesn't infringe on Apple’s design patents.

In a request sent to United States District Court for the Northern District of California Judge Lucy Koh, Samsung’s counsel said there is no longer a basis to maintain an injunction to ban sales of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 given the jury’s latest decision.

In June, Koh backed Apple’s request to put the ban in place, citing patent infringement.
