Lebanon based Shiite militant group Hezbollah says Iran will attack U.S. bases in the Middle East if Israel strikes Iranian nuclear facilities.

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah said in an interview with a Lebanese broadcaster that Iran will respond to an Israeli air strike and the response will be very great.

Nasrallah continued that Iran’s response will not only target Israel but also U.S. bases in the Middle East, explaining that the U.S. should take responsibility for Israel’s attack on Iran.

Nasrallah said divisions exist in Israel over attacking Iran and he doesn't expect Israel to launch a strike in "the coming months or forseeable future."

Hezbollah has long received arms and financial support from Iran.
