ILO: Youth Unemployment to Get Worse

The International Labor Organization (ILO) says the world is facing a worsening youth employment crisis.

The ILO said in a report that youth jobless rates will continue to grow worse as the euro crisis continues in its second year and spreads from advanced countries to emerging economies.

The organization predicted that the global youth unemployment rate will rise zero-point-two percentage points from 12-point-seven percent this year to 12-point-nine percent in 2017.

The ILO forecast that the jobless rate among young people in advanced countries will edge down from 17-point-five percent this year to 15-point-six percent in 2017.
