Apple Denied Rescheduled Hearings in Samsung Patent Battle

A U.S. court has turned down Apple’s request to postpone a hearing on withdrawing a sales ban on Samsung Electronics’ Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet computer.

U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California Judge Lucy Koh ruled Thursday that the hearing would be held as planned on September 20th. She also told Apple it couldn’t move up a December sixth hearing seeking an injunction to ban the sale of eight Samsung Electronics products in the U.S.

Koh said she has already rejected these requests in court before, explaining one reason she won’t waver is that Apple has hinted at trying to ban more Samsung products in the U.S.

Apple’s plans to ban eight Samsung products is apparently a follow-up measure to a U.S. jury verdict on August 24th that Samsung Electronics products infringed on Apple's patents.
