Foreign media report that Libyan authorities are looking into a possible connection between terrorist groups and the motive of four suspects who were part of a deadly attack against the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.

Libya’s new prime minister Mustafa Abu-Shakour said during an interview with AFP that there has been great progress in the investigation since learning the names and securing photos of the suspects.

Eastern Libya's deputy interior minister Wanis el-Sharef said four people were arrested for their involvement in the attack, but he declined to offer further details, noting it’s too soon to say whether a terrorist group was behind the assault or determine a motive.
