South Korean singer, Psy, whose hit song "Gangnam Style" has become a global sensation, performed live in New York.

Psy appeared on the NBC Today Show Friday morning local time and showcased his famed horse-riding dance at Rockefeller Plaza in Manhattan.

During an interview with the show hosts, he also shouted "Daehanminguk Manse," meaning Republic of Korea hurrah.

Some one thousand fans gathered at the plaza. The Korean rapper will make a solo appearance on NBC's Ellen DeGeneres Show next week.
