FIFA Unveils Mascot for 2014 Brazil World Cup

FIFA has unveiled the mascot of the 2014 Brazil World Cup at an event held in Rio de Janeiro.

The endangered three-banded armadillo was chosen as the mascot for 2014 World Cup, as it is indigenous to Brazil and rolls its body into a soccer ball-like shape when threatened.

The mascot has not been named yet, but the field has been narrowed to just three. The names Amijubi, Fuleco and Zuzeco and will be voted on by mid-November online.
