Chinese Consulate General Smoke-bombed in Japan

A Chinese diplomatic mission in Japan has been smoke-bombed by a Japanese man as violent anti-Japanese protests flare up in China.

A Chinese newspaper reported that two smoke bombs were thrown at the Chinese Consulate General in Fukuoka at 6 p.m. on Monday.

The Japanese man ran away after pulling his car up in front of the Chinese diplomatic mission to hurl the shells. He turned himself in shortly after.

No casualties have been reported since the attack.

Chinese diplomatic authorities are advising Chinese people staying or living in Japan to take extra caution in regards their safety.
