Washington Post: Kimchi is Korea's Affordable Health Care

The Washington Post has run a detailed report on the process of making the traditional Korean dish kimchi and its health benefits.

Correspondent Tim Carman recently visited the Gwangju World Kimchi Culture Festival held in Centreville, Virginia and wrote a column titled, "Kimchi: Korea's affordable health care."

Carman quoted an interview with festival chairman Kim Sung-hoon who called kimchi an “anti-aging” food.

He also wrote about how to make the fermented dish and its nutritional effects.

The festival is part of the larger, annual KORUS Festival organized by the Korean American Association of the Metropolitan Washington Area.
