Apple Demands Additional Damages to Samsung

Apple is demanding that Samsung Electronics pay additional damages.

Apple’s lawyers said in a letter to California’s Northern District Court on September 21st that Samsung must pay 770-million dollars more in addition to the compensation of slightly over one-billion dollars, which was ordered by a jury to the South Korean company on August 24th.

Apple also asked the court to place a sales injunction on a total of 26 Samsung smartphone and tablet PC models, claiming that Samsung intentionally violated patented technologies of the iPhone.

But Samsung said that the trial did not proceed appropriately, demanding a new trial.
